All 135 Eagles from around the province will migrate to the Westin Bayshore while only 30 of them will be auctioned live at the The Great Eagle Gala & Auction.
Bids for any Eagle in the Province can be made by attending the live auction, registering with an absentee bid, arranging to be on the telephone for the live auction or bidding at the internet auction.

The bidding has now started for 101 of the Eagles from around the Province. The bidding will start to close on Thursday, April 8th at 9:30am where one Eagle will close every 1/2 hour from 9:30am to 9:00pm until they are gone. Check out our online Auction at www.gobid.ca.
In order to bid, you must create a bidder account with www.gobid.ca, once your account is created you will use your bidder name and password to submit your bid.
Auction Terms & Conditions
The BC Lions Society (‘seller’) advises buyers to read the Terms and Conditions of Sale. By bidding at auction, bidders are bound by these terms, as amended by any oral announcements at the live auction or posted notices, which together form the contract of sale between the successful bidder (purchaser), and the seller of the Eagle.
Condition of Sale
Each Eagle is sold “AS IS”, per our Terms and Conditions of Sale. All Eagles should be viewed personally by the prospective buyers or their agents to evaluate the condition of the property offered for sale. Buyers are reminded that the Eagles have been on display and have been transported throughout the Eagles In The City exhibition, and may exhibit signs of wear.
Bidding for the live auction at the Westin Bayshore on April 6th, 2010, is by ticket # which is located on the back of your Gala ticket and also by absentee and telephone bidding. Bidding opens at the discretion of the auctioneer and will go up in increments as determined by the Auctioneer. Starting bids for all Eagles will be no less than $2,000 Cdn.
If you are unable to attend the auction, you may submit an absentee bid form. The seller and Maynards will exercise written order bids received in person or by fax only until 12:00 noon, April 6th, 2010. Only those bids of $2,000 or more will be accepted for the auction. Payment of cash, credit card or personal cheque at the live auction is accepted.
Payment for absentee or telephone bids must be by pre-approved credit card.
Cheques should be made payable to the BC Lions Society.
Payment by Visa, Mastercard, and American Express have the following conditions; if you pay by credit card, your card will be charged on the day of the sale, April 6th, 2010. All charges are subject to acceptance by the seller and by Visa, Master Card and/or American Express as the case may be. In case the charge is not approved, you will nevertheless be liable to the seller for all sums incurred by you.
Pick-up and Delivery of Eagles
If you are the successful bidder at the live auction, you will have 3 days in which to pick up your Eagle from Bandstra in Richmond at no cost to you. After 3 days, there will be storage charges of $5 per day for the first 7 days and $10 per day from then on. You may also make arrangements to have your Eagle delivered locally or shipped anywhere in the world (and packaged if necessary) to you at your expense. Purchaser will be responsible for all storage costs incurred after 3 days from the live auction. Purchaser will also be responsible for all costs associated with delivery or packaging. The Purchaser is acquiring an original piece of artwork and is bound by laws dealing with ‘moral rights of authors’ and copyrights in respect to original artwork. In addition, Purchasers agree, acknowledge and understand that they do not own the rights to reproduce the Eagle sculpture or the artwork on the Eagle.
Any property may be withdrawn by Maynards or the seller at any time before the actual sale without any liability thereof. Maynards and the seller reserve the right to reject a bid from any bidder. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to reoffer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, the seller’s sale records shall be conclusive in all aspects.
I hereby authorize Maynards to purchase on my behalf the above Eagle(s) at prices not exceeding my bids and as much below them as possible. I agree to the ‘Terms & Conditions of Sale’. Maynards assumes no responsibility for failure to execute these bids for any reason whatsoever. All absentee bids must be made no later than noon the day of the sale. In the event that two or more bids of the same value should be received by Maynards, the earliest bid will be considered first.
